In honor of my MAC lipstick collection, I thought I’d round up a few of my most favorite picks from the brand. These seven are my most loved and most worn, and I’ve covered every occasion with the selection – from everyday wear to evening occasions. I think these colors are a must have in any lipstick collection for brown skinned girls!

I prefer satin and matte finish lipsticks always and I like this very much because of the shade and the finish. The satin finish lipsticks are non-drying and very pigmented. The matte finish means it’s quite drying, so be sure to prep your lips first to guarantee long-wear.

MAC Viva Glam 3:

Easily one of my most worn shades, this warm mauve-plum matte is always one I receive so many compliments on – the bold shade is flattering and never garish, and I love slicking it on all year round.

Viva Glam 3 is a soft, muted, matte finish lipstick that is moisturizing. The color of this lipstick is pretty pigmented and gives a beautiful finish in just one swipe.

MAC Retro:

Retro is a dreamy matte muted peachy pink brown and it is definitely true. It’s a feminine, flirty take on your typical nude and I find it goes with whatever makeup I’m wearing, and is perfect for every occasion. There’s just enough pink in there to warm the finish, and I love how long this wears once applied. A staple, if you will.

MAC Spirit:

Described as a muted pinky-beige brown, this bright number is a favorite of mine because it’s just so different to every of my nude lipsticks I own. It’s almost a bright nude, but with a lot more of a pinkish-brown tone to it. It’s not too ‘out there’, but it definitely pulls a look together perfectly. I love pairing it with a Smokey eye, contoured cheeks and straight hair for my easy evening look! It always looks so polished.

MAC Ruby Woo:

I’m not that red lips wearer but Ruby Woo is the one and only red lipstick I love to wear and I think it’s the only red finish that matched my face. This was from a recent collection and I instantly fell in love! Also a matte finish, this is so perky and I find it’s my go-to for date nights and evenings out. I love it with simple cat-flick liner and dewy skin!

MAC Smoked Purple:

Smoked Purple is a matte gorgeous creamy blue toned aubergine purple which works well on many skin tones. For the dark vampy look I like to wear this lipstick, it’s also one of my favorite autumn color, especially for night outs.

MAC Antique Velvet:

Antique Velvet is an ‘intense brown’. A deep brown with a slight red tint which is what makes it suitable for brown skin. It’s been for the last 2 years my favorite autumn color. I wear it from every day to night out, so I boldly call this the perfect brown lipstick! Another benefit to this is that it can tone down other lipstick if you want a more subtle version of another color.

MAC Satin Mocha:

Mocha is a peachy brown satin finish lipstick. I love the matte finish, and it’s the kind of color that looks a little bit different on everyone.This ‘full powered coral’ is the perfect change from a typical nude – it’s vibrant without being shocking, and it’s a lovely shakeup for summer.
